Inspection and Evaluation Department

The Quality Assurance Inspection Evaluation Service’s mission is to:

– Raise awareness and train the various actors of training by the University of Burundi in the culture of Quality Assurance;

– Ensure monitoring and inspection of the quality of training programs;

– Establish internal evaluation procedures for training and scientific research programs;

– Establish institutional self-assessment procedures for a higher education establishment;

– Develop institutional self-assessment benchmarks for a higher education establishment;

– Develop internal evaluation benchmarks for teaching, training programs and research;

– Organize internal and external evaluations of the educational institution, teaching, training programs and scientific research;

– Organize teaching evaluations by students;

– Regularly monitor the implementation of the action plans of the Educational Institution and the various Faculties/Institutes of the University of Burundi;

– Ensure that training offers and teaching at the University of Burundi comply with national, regional and international standards.
