Pr Joël Ndayishimiye is a professor at the University of Burundi. Specialized in the Biogeography of the fabaceae of Central Africa (Burundi, DRC and Rwanda). He is particularly intereseted in endemic species. His current research focuses on the floristic biodiversity of Burundi, including endemic, invasive, rare or threatened species in sensitive ecosytems such as mountain peaks and wetlands (macrophyts species).
