Biography

    Professor Elie SADIKI was born on 26 june 1977 in Burundi, in the province of Mwaro, commune of Nyabihanga, in Gitaramuka. He did his primary, secondary and university studies(BA in african langueges and littérature in Burundi and his Masters( in prehistoric and protohistoric civilisations) and doctorate( in archaeology) at Cheikh ANTA DIOP University in Dakar, Sénégal. He is currently a lecturer and researcher at the University of Burundi, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Departement of Socio-anthropology. A member of the Centre de Recherche en Langues, Cultures et Sociétes(CRELACS) affilieted to the Laboratoire de Culture et Société(LACUS), he carries out his research in Burundi and publiches articles in various journals. His initiatives focus on archaeological excavations and cultural heritage management. He occasionally provides his expertise to the Directorate General of Tourism on the management of sites and places of memory.
