Biography
Dr Richard NDAYISHIMIYE is a lecturer and dean of the Business school (ISCO) of the
University of Burundi after obtaining his doctorate in management sciences after several
placements in France and during a year-long stay at the University of Tübingen. He has
managerial skills in human resources and health services management. He is currently a
certified accreditor in higher education. He has specialised in digital learning through
several training courses on pedagogical engineering with Moodle, the AUF's multi-media
laboratories and a recent course on the ABCs of AI tools in teaching, research and
community service. He is currently piloting 2 of the AUF's main projects, namely the
organisation of ODL at ISCO and the renovation of the qualifying training scheme. At the
same time, Dr Richard is an expert on the ‘digital transformation’ thematic commission of
the Regional Conference of Rectors of Central Africa and the Great Lakes. At the moment,
I'm very interested in a subject that straddles management sciences (human resources
management) and educational sciences (digital learning): The transfer of digital skills for
the career development of universities’ teachers.
